The brothers Albert (trombone) and Emil Mangelsdorff (saxophone, flute, clarinet) had an enormous impact on the development of the German Jazz scene from the 1950s until the 2000s along with other German musicians with international reputation like Heinz Sauer or Klaus Doldinger. This present collection of concerts, studio recordings and some hidden treasures from the SWR archives gives an unique insight into their musical abilities in the 1950s and 1960.
